In January, LLS volunteer
theme teams undertook these projects:
- Inventory, select,
and implement a financial education program that will help
residents achieve financial independence over the lifespan.
- Assist 1-3 community/senior
centers in preparing for the wave of 55+ residents and what
they will want to stay active, vital, and engaged.
- Improve accessibility
and design of existing housing within Dakota County to increase
opportunities for aging in place.
- Develop sufficient new,
nontraditional services and caregiving options that are
cost effective and support Dakota County seniors in homes
of their choice.
- Improve transportation
services and mobility options in Dakota County.
- Assess venues for older
adults that provide employment and volunteer opportunities.
