DARTS VMS Launch Enhanced by Grand-Prize Honors at Yale
National Business Plan Competition for Nonprofits
In May 2004, DARTS received top
honors at the Yale National Business Plan Competition for
Nonprofits. Out of 20 finalists, the DARTS business plan
for DARTS VMS (Vehicle Maintenance Services) was one of
four grand-prize winners. The DARTS VMS venture, launched
January 2005, is a one-stop vehicle repair and preventive
maintenance solution for specialized transit providers in
the Twin Cities metro area, providing low-cost, high-quality
repair services with a significant social return to the
community. DARTS VMS furthers the mission of DARTS, expands
the reach of public funding, and increases the capacity
