DARTS VMS At a Glance
DARTS VMS (Vehicle Maintenance
Services) launched January 1, 2005, as nonprofit, taxpaying
corporation. DARTS is the parent of DARTS VMS. VMS extends
DARTS' reputation in specialized transit operations by providing
one-stop repair and maintenance services for Twin Cities
nonprofits that operate specialized, lift-equipped vehicles.
DARTS VMS will help maintain the safety of older riders
and other transit-dependent populations, ensuring their
mobility in the community.
Nonprofits using DARTS
VMS will decrease their vehicle operating costs, reduce
vehicle downtime, and improve vehicle safety for their riders
whether they be young or old, healthy or frail, mobile or
wheelchair dependent. DARTS VMS will allow nonprofits to
expand the reach of public dollars and better serve their
